The waves of my love by Danielle Carole Tremblay

The waves of my love,
Ebb on your shore,
An oceanic embrace,
I feel one with you…

But at times
A sorrowful melody of old wounds
Softly murmurs into the night,
In the shadows of ship wrecks,
Where old hurts still live,
Departing, uninvited, with the morning breeze…

My promise to you is
That my lips will be faithful
To the matters of my heart,
For it claims deep within me
The trust, love and devotion you deserve.

May we calm the vociferous fears
That haunt our memory,
And harness the courage and conviction
To trust the guidance of our internal compass
And sail again.
