Losing loving losing by Anita Power

The day you died
The sun went down more slowly
As if to take a part of me
The part that is your presence
And my existence too
The shared moments of good
And not so good
The little things
That tell of love and caring
The air was sweeter then
My innocence protected me
From deeper truths
That come with time
And living long
Losing loving losing
Depletes my soul
I yearn to nourish and fill up
That hollow empty hole
Left gaping
The day you died
